A lesson in "be careful what you wish for"

There is a group of children in one of the apartments near mine singing horribly off key to some really crappy (probably high school musical-ey) songs. What the fuck.

Of course, earlier the douchebags that live next door were blaring their stupid gangsta rap/whiney r & b mix (for comical reference, they're a group of super skinny asian kids) and I just had to say something along the lines of "honestly, this music is getting really old." Jesus christ.

So god is punishing me, again.

I just want to yell "SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!" out the window. I feel like I'm not far from that point. Especially if I hear another "woooohoooohooooOOOOooooOOOO."

finding traces of revolution

I'm so proud of my fellow scientists... nine of them decided to write to Obama's transition team in order to tell them about the corruption at the FDA.

The scientists wrote that managers at the FDA "intimidated and coerced scientists to manipulate data in violation of the law" and that thousands of American lives may be at risk because of this.

What surprises me is not the corruption, but that someone actually spoke up about it. Go scientific integrity! :)
